The Power of Your Mind Your Best Friend and Your Worst Enemy

Your mind is the most powerful asset you have. And its job is to carry out the commands you give yourself.

This can work both for and against you. Unfortunately, many of the commands we give ourselves are messages we picked up in childhood. Some of those were invalid messages to start with, but they may have been given to you at a time when you could not yet determine that. Others were meant to serve a purpose at a certain point in our life, and our sub-conscious has been unable to determine that they no longer apply, or it has some reason to hang on to them. And some are perfectly valid, such as the message that if you put your hand on something hot, it will burn you.

An example of a message that no longer applies might be a message that you are a bad or undeserving person. Maybe this message was given to you as a child when you did something wrong. Later on, something (or some things) happened to reinforce that message. Your mind filed it away as something to remember and be guided by in the future, and now it haunts you. Maybe it is reflected as self-sabotage whenever you are on the verge of success in your chosen occupation. Maybe it will show up as excess weight that you can‘t get rid of. For some, it may be reflected in a refusal to let themselves take pleasure in sex.

There are, of course, other possible reasons for the events above, both mental messages and physical ailments. All physical ailments should be handled by a doctor. But hypnotherapy can help you explore the possible reasons for negative actions on your part, and help you "correct" the messages stored in your sub-conscious mind to reflect your current goals in life.
